Occasionally when I have free time (what exactly is free time anyways??), I second shoot weddings for those wonderful ladies who dedicate their free time to shoot with me. This Yosemite wedding was the Saturday after the big fire started just out side of El Portal. It was especially scary for my family because my brother in law and his soon to be wife (yay!) live in El Portal. Luckily they did not have to evacuate and their home was safe! My family came along with me and Brooke (Brooke Beasley Photography) for the day. Yosemite it kind of a second home to my husband (he lived there the first 13 summers of his life and also worked there in college) so for us a little day trip to Yosemite is like visiting relatives. 🙂 While Brooke and I photographed the wedding, my husband and kids explored the valley.
I rented the 45mm tilt/shift lens for this wedding. It was a lot of fun to use however it is totally manual and takes some practice! That’s the best part about renting though, you get to test of some amazing lenses to see if they are really something to think you would use!
Please enjoy a few of my shots from Rachel and Franks beautiful Yosemite wedding!
This photograph was taken with the tilt/shift lens. You can see that it isn’t perfect and I wish I had gotten their faces a little more in focus but none the less, I love this photograph.
