I have been waiting for the time to be able to post Cherise and Ryan’s Folsom engagement session. This was my very first session with my new 5DMiii bodies. I am so impressed with this new camera from Canon. The clarity, focus and color is just perfect! And of course Cherise and Ryan were the perfect models!

Heather & Robert – Engagement session at the Davis Arboretum and Old Town Sacramento

I met up with Heather and Robert on April Fool’s Day. I remember this day well because it was my husbands birthday and it was the first 75 degree day of the year! We had planned to meet the day before but the weather was not favorable at all. I am so glad we post poned it until the next day. The Davis Arboretum is gorgeous in the spring time and there are so many locations to use. I can not wait to go back again. Heather and Robert were so fun to work with and I am very excited for their Memorial Day weekend wedding!

Rhonda & Jeff – Engagement session in San Francisco

I feel so lucky that for all the times I have gone to San Francisco for engagement sessions this winter, not one was ruined by bad weather! Rhonda and Jeff’s session was no exception either! We spent our time at Chrissy Field and over at the Palace of Fine Arts. Like always, those locations were gorgeous and never too crowded. Thank you so much for the wonderful afternoon in San Francisco! I am so excited for your fall wedding at the Chalet View Lodge!

Hallie & Evan Married at Palm Event Center

Hallie and Evan’s wedding was Presidents Day weekend in February. The day was amazing for being the middle of winter. The skies were blue with a few clouds and no sign of rain in the forecast! The venue was stunning. The Estate room, where the ceremony was held, is to date my absolute favorite ceremony spot. It’s filled with wine barrels, multiple chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, and candles lit everywhere. It was stunning and you could tell the guests were in awe when they walked in to be seated. Hallie and Evan chose not to do a first look and with the ceremony being at sunset so we did all of their formal photographs by candle light, some flash and any available light around the venue. :-) Many thanks to Trizza from Trizza Grantham Photography for second shooting with me!

Nasim & Esmeralda Wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel Yosemite Valley – Sneak Peek

I got back from Yosemite early this morning (around 1am) and I could not wait to post a sneak peek of this wedding. Nasim and Esmerelda were a dream to work with, the weather was perfect, and how can one go wrong with a wedding at the Ahwahnee. I am so excited to get started on these photos! Big thank you to my husband for driving us to Yosemite and back in 20 hours. I know, we are insane. :-) Also a huge thank you to my second shooter Lisa for rocking the day with me!

This picture perfectly sums up my 5 year olds Easter this year. Cole spent the week prior to Easter practicing for the ultimate Easter egg hunt. He set up mock Easter egg hunts daily. It was hilarious. When the time came for the hunt it was game on for Cole. This kid is one serious egg hunter. It was like a game of ”I spy” for him.

My office – Where is spend hours of my life!

I love my office. It makes me happy to be in here. I actually bought this office furniture 7 years ago with most of the money we got from wedding gifts. I had to have it. I had been eyeing it in the Pottery Barn catalog every single time one came in the mail and when we finally got to pick it all up I was beyond excited. It has some where and tear from the years and my children ( the leg supporting the corner desk is covered in BLACK PERMANENT MARKER – I DIED!!!!!) but if a piece needs to be replaced I would have no problem buying this set again.

I have always loved this laundry room From House of Turquoise so when I knew we were going to be moving the kids out of this small 9′ x 9′ bedroom I wanted it to be perfect. People kind of look at me funny when I say I got my inspiration for my office redo from a laundry room but I love it!

Can this laundry room get any cuter????

So on to my office. This is where it all happens. I am in here A LOT. My office is very central to the rest of my house (we have a super small house at 940 sqft) but it was important that I have a space for the business that was in the house since my kids are still very young. I have always love craftsman style homes and while ours is a bungalow in the mountains we still wanted to start giving it the small touches that make it a little more craftsman.

Mike (my wonderful husband) spent one weekend putting up the moulding on the walls. It’s 1 x4 MDF and a bunch of white paint. :-) The color on the wall, I am kicking my self for letting the label get ruined. If I can figure out the name of the paint I will put it on here. Not happy about that! The last order of business is to get the inserts for the closet door’s and some roman shades. I am OVER the blinds!!!

Apricot Blossoms

I get so excited every year when our apricot tree blossoms. Because of the abnormal weather patterns the past few years the trees have been blooming a lot earlier than normal. As you can see the bees are enjoying the blossoms as much as I was. Happy Saturday!
