Megan & Mike Married in Cedar Ridge

Megan and Mike got married on the ever popular date of 9-10-11! This day was HUMID! WIth the threat of a fall thunderstorm and the temperature a bit high for September, we made it through the day with out sweating too much! I loved this venue! It is the home of the groom’s parents and it is set up for a party! If I can, I always like to have the couple write a little bit about their wedding……….

“We were introduced through a mutual friend after we had both graduated high school. Although we were only a year apart and went to the same school we both never knew who the other one was. We had a couple of college classes together and got to be good friends. After about 6 months we started dating. We were together 8 years when we finally got married. Our wedding vision was elegant yet approachable and fun. We wanted class with a fun twist. Family is big for Michael and I and they were all a huge part of our big day in many different ways. We could not have pulled it off without the help of many of our family members and friends. In the end, the ceremony was beautiful, the food was great, the party was awesome and everyone had a wonderful time! When Mike and I were looking for a wedding venue he told me that he really wanted to get married at his parents home because him and his father built that house from the ground up and he knows that it will stay in his family for a long time. What got me was when he said to me “I want to be able to look out the window to the back yard and know that is where I married the love of my life” (true story!)”
