Meet the artist

Hi!  I’m Aimee and you stumbled across this page because you wanted to know a little bit more about me and White Daisy Photography.

I am a mom to 2 kids, Cole (5)  and Siena (3) and a wife to Mike.  My family is my world and I love seeing the world with them.  We are a family that loves to travel and explore new places and we are just waiting for the kids to be old enough to start making those across the world trips!  I work part time as the manager of a small veterinary hospital and I am still there even though I am a full time wedding photographer because I love it too much to leave.  I’m pretty lucky to have two amazing jobs that I don’t consider work!  I have a slight addiction to Dr. Pepper and most recently to Java Detours Coconut Carmel Blended Mochas.  Oh my goodness are they amazing.  In my teenage years I was a competitive acrobat and springboard diver.  Yosemite is a second home to our family and try to get there at least once a year.  While my husband and I were dating he worked there during the summers and I had to hike 11 1/2 miles to get to his camp.  Now that’s love and dedication!  :-)  We’ve been married for 6 years.  We live in the mountains on a few acres with the kids, a black lab and 2 cats.  We are just far enough away from the big towns and we get to enjoy the snow in the winter.  It’s a wonderful life!

I am a storyteller by nature.  My kids will have their lives documented in my personal blog.  I am sure there are pretty tired of having their pictures taken.  :-)  I love being able to look back over the years and re remember those moments I had forgotten.  That’s how I approach wedding photography.  There’s a story that day and I am there to tell it so when you look back years from now you will get to remember all those moments.  You will notice in my wedding blog posts that I like to photograph each wedding from all aspects of the day.  I love all the special details that go in to the wedding.  No two weddings are a like and I love showing that.   When asked what my style of photography is it’s pretty easy for me to say.  I am a storyteller with a bit of photojournalism.  As much as I love photographing the details of the day I also love being a fly on the wall and photographing the day just as it is.  Capturing those unplanned and unposed moments are just as important to me!  As you can tell I am very passionate about weddings.   I love the interaction between couples during the engagement session and on the wedding day and the emotions of the family members all make for an unforgetable day.
